Hundreds of travellers were stranded on the road between between Mto wa Mbu and Karatu in Arusha on Sunday after a section of a road was swept away by floods.
The section of road affected was one of the busiest for Tanzania’s safari traffic, used by everyone driving between Arusha and Ngorongoro Crater or Serengeti.
The floods were caused by heavy rains that have been pounding northern Tanzania regions for the past week.
No WPA clients were affected.
